I have a Macy's credit card, but they will not tell me what my available credit is. It's not on the statement, nor the automated calling service. I actually spoke with a person who would not tell me, and he asked me how much the item cost that I wanted to by and he'd tell me if I had enough credit. Anybody else go through this? Why won't they tell me the available credit (or the credit limit) when I make my payments on time every month?|||Pay that credit card in full and be done with it.
Do not close it if it is your oldest form of credit.
Get a real credit card.
Charge things you need like food or gas and pay in full each month.
By paying in full, you never pay interest and develop beautiful credit
Carrying balances is an easy way to destroy credit
It sounds like you are carrying balances on that credit card
Do not destroy your credit at such a young age
Employers check, so do landlords and car insurance companies (you'll pay more)
Pay that card in full today

I did a bit of reading. Get your credit reports and see what they state the limit is
All 3 reports are completely free once a year, and it is your duty to see them

It looks like they have done this to everyone
Something that other store cards will probably start doing.
Note - having no set limit on a card can cause severe damage to a credit score
Sometimes they use your high balance as your credit limit
(this plays havoc with the Fico score)
And it can drop it by as much as 100 points.
Pay off that card today. For the sake of your credit and stop using it|||apparently the company has begun this practice so that poeple are more in control of their expenses and so that they aren't getting burned by a bunch of people that still have otb on their cards and use it all up and do not pay their bills.
