If i have an $800 available credit limit between 2 cards should i get a new creditcard to raise my creditscore?

One card is 500 limit and the other 300. I want to know if i should keep it as is or get a new credit card to get more available credit limit so i could raise my credit score.

what should i do?|||Hey! How long have you had these 2 cards? If you haven't had them very long I recommend that you just wait and keep using them. Your credit will get built up pretty quickly given you don't have any defaults. If you do decide to open another card I recommend going with a card meant to build credit. Those card companies typically report to the credit bureau every single month. That is an excellent way to raise your score. Just keep in mind if you have too much available credit you may be viewed as more of a credit risk potentially lowering your score. This is mainly because at any given time you can rack up over $800 in credit card debt at any point if you chose to do so. As long as you don't have many other loans, and have a decent income, it shouldn't be a problem for you. Good luck! :)|||My advice would be to pay down both cards... Debt right now is a very bad thing to have because we are just starting to go thru what is called a deflationary period. Meaning, forget that credit score and pay down as many debts are humanly possible. I promise that you will thank yourself for doing this in a couple years...|||its depend on the bank and your current financial status.
